Rock climbing is a fun and challenging activity to do as a couple. Choose together an indoor facility which takes out variables like the weather, small animals or insects in crevices, or buying equipment, etc. Be sure to choose a climbing facility that will instruct, and provide all harness and safety equipment for climbing. Always start with the novice climbing path depending on your experience and fitness levels, and progress safely.
Rock climbing improves your core strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. While improving your health together, make a friendly wager ( a kiss, who buys lunch, etc.) about who makes it to the top first. Loosing has its benefits!
Calories burned during rock climbing will depend on your weight, age,sex and the intensity level of the climbing. You can burn on average 550-900 calories/hr.
Rock climbing is a great and fun event for couples because you can be supportive and encouraging during your time together. Be sure to stretch before and after rock climbing and consider a couple’s massage at the end of this exercise filled date! Be sure to videotape each other to remember this happy day.
Keep on exercising! Exercise is life!
