Aqua Zumba is a fun way to dance your way to health. It combines a combination of low impact aerobic dance and core strengthening movements in a swimming pool. The water alone will engender a sense of childhood joy and well-being. Aqua Zumba is great exercise for any age, fitness level, body type or size. Most importantly this class can be done by swimmers and non-swimmers. An individual with aquaphobia (fear of water) may not be able to participate in this type of class, depending on the severity of their phobia.

 

Aqua Zumba improves your core strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance without placing increased stress on joints, ligaments and tendons. This type of fitness class also fosters a sense of community bonding and togetherness.

 

Calories burned during Aqua Zumba will depend on your weight, age,sex and the intensity level of the class. You can burn on average 300-800 calories/hr. in Aqua Zumba.
